    "Article Marketing" or spamming? Hmmm

Depends on if your articles are worth reading or not. Otherwise you are just getting a link from a site.

I suggest you write and submit one article per day if you can. Sit down and create a long list of keywords for your website and whenever you have some time to spare - pick one and write an article about it.

A single article won't bring you much traffic, but many quality ones can be beneficial in terms SEO as well as traffic. It is also somewhat dependent on niche, in super competitive niches ezine articles aren't going to get a whole ton of traffic.

Yep, your articles should be written well enough that people will actually read them. Also, it depends on the subject and how many others are screaming for the same attention.

    Good luck. - Russ

I read an e book which basically tells you to do a search and find long tailed keywords that have low competition within your niche of course and write 10 articles a day for 30 days and submit to Ezine or other high ranked directories. If you have the time, I think this will get you plenty of traffic (and sales) in the long run.

U know that U will get 10 visitors from 1 article per week, then, maybe you should increase it to 5 articles per day to get 50 extra visitors.

Just post more articles because the more articles that you post will attract more traffic.

I think more important than # of articles is the quality. A few high quality articles will bring more traffic than a bunch of poorly written ones. Good luck.

Traffic from article marketing is primarily derived from search engines. Thus, you must first start with a good set of keywords (assuming you are already in a niche). Then you have to:

    1. Create the Article
    2. Publish (submit) the Article
    3. Promote the Article
    4. Track your Results

Article marketing drives quality traffic (as compared to quantity) and it shouldn't be your only traffic generating source.

Yes. Article marketing seems to work very well for ranking on google, especially in ezine article. The reason is because google's bots already crawl ezine articles and then extends into your articles which is linked to your website.

The key is in the title. Either you make it catchy or make the first two words of your title contain your keyword, i.e. Green Vegetable: Why They are Good For Your Body. Something like that.

If you plan on paying for traffic other than pay per click ads, make sure the page rank is 3 or higher. Make sure the SEO service doesn't use pop-ups or pop-unders. Google will knock you ranking all the way down. People have lost their complete adsense earnings because of it. Also, make sure the service is professional and does natural linking from many places not just form the same IP address. At the same time, the service shouldn't be linking your site about religious faith with a site about perfecting your golf swing. Apparently, that has been a problem.

One Ezine or any other top article directory you want to focus on a couple of things.. Ensure that you already have a list of the keywords you are trying to get listed for in the major search engines.

Write articles relating to those keywords and ensure that your title and your summary have one or two of those keywords in there.. like what Augra was saying you might want to put these keywords in the beginning of your title.

Everytime you post an article you are going to also post your url in your author resource box and you will get a backlink for that. Ensure that you use one of your keywords or keyword phrases in your anchor text of your url.

Post good quality articles that make for a good read and people will repost those articles on their website. Articles I posted months ago are still getting re-published on other peoples websites everyday.

One unique article per day will get you good number of subscribers.
You need to work on with atleat 2 social bookmarking sites to get good traffic.
My suggestion is to have digg and reddit.which can improve your traffic very well.
