A question of TOS etiquette

I have found a site that I think might violate the TOS. Their ad placement is very clever. I really want to know from the horse’s mouth (Google) if it’s kosher or not before I try it on my site. The thought in the “Forum Administration” thread is that it might violate TOS but no one is certain. The question is do I just go to Google with the site in question and outright ask them if this is ok to do? I don’t want to be a jerk and get the “questionable” site owner banned b/c I wanted to use his little trick. Any thoughts?

Google if okay BEFORE you try it.
No sense two sites and accounts getting banned if it is a violation of TOS.

Explain what you want to do, or are thinking of doing to google first. If you dont want to get the site banned.

That could be the best way to do it. But if they are in clear violation of TOS, then chances are they have been reported before.

I agree with Brad. It is hard to give an answer on this without some kind of description.
