    Hey,

I have a question and i cant find the answer by myself.

Let's say I have a site with romanian as primary and only language. The domain is .com and it is hosted on a US server. For some of my keywords I have good serp's on google.com however for the same keywords i can't seem to find my site anywhere on google.ro

My question is: does the location of the server where the site is hosted can cause serp problems on google.ro ?

    Thanks!

Yes it has a slight effect but your domain extension plays the biggest part. If you had a .ro domain you would rank alot better on Google Romania search.

The hosting server matters a lot in the serps, google will give more importance to a domain.ro in google.ro search!
but then perhaps if you get some .ro backlinks on your category, your Serp's can improve a lot:D

Yes, move it to Romania, i know that is better to have the host ip in Romania for Regional Google.
    Bafta :)

If you can, move it to a .ro domain (301 from .com) and switch to a local server.
Having a local server will also make it a better experience for your visitors because of faster response time.
