    Guys and Gals,

I'm a total beginner in adwords and internet marketing in general and seeking a little experienced advice. I'm trying to learn the ropes of affilate marketing and how to use it with adwords. If I'm an affilate does it work best to use the URL of the site whose affiliate program I belong to as my adwords URL, or do I create landing pages on my own site with links to the affilate site and use that in my ad?

What to do if there is already an ad running using the URL of the site I do affilate marketing for?

I assume its against TOS to go to my site first with an automatic redirect to my affilates site. Anyone have insight?

Lastly - can anyone recommend a really great book for an obvious beginner such as myself?

    Thanks much,
    Mike

Best thing is to create your own landing pages. It's possible to use another URL for awhile, but think long-term and get your own domain and make your own landing pages.

Book--Marshall's Definitive Guide to Adwords. I didn't like the ebook version, but lots of people swear by the print version.
