Hi, I see that my site is PR1 after 5days that I start it! is IT possible? thesite story: I buy the domain 2months ago and 5days ago I start an image hosting. I uploaded 30 or less adult images and I post it in 1 site only. Today I check PR and I see that it s PR1 I check the Backlinks and they are only 11 Please give me some info about it!! It is mostly lucky timing. Google PageRank is mass updated periodically. You just happened to have built enough links before the current PR update that is still ongoing. Keep in mind that PR is nothing more than a website status symbol. It does not translate into rankings or traffic.
What you have received was the PR from the site before you bought it and there are no links showing now. For it to be a PR1, the previous owners would have been clocking or using hidden text. Get about 5 pages going and then set up a Google Webmaster Tools account. Then do a "reconsideration" where you tell G that you have just purchased the URL and are starting over new. This will remove any history that you have inherited.
That's nothin'. My old site after I had just created it (few weeks) got PR4. With 20 - 30 BL's. And I didn't even know about link building then. It's crazy. -Aidan.
