A question for those using GFX Video Writer

    Hello everyone,

I recently purchased GFX Video Writer. With that said, the software is working as it should (minus a small issue). What I am trying to do is record my voice, while I read what is on my slides.

Everything appears to be working, but when I go and review the recording, all I hear is a bunch of static and a very faint voice in the background. Now, is this a problem with the software? or my microphone? I am currently using this product: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Logitech-ClearChat-Style-PC-Headset/10992441 to record.

If this is indeed an issue with the microphone, can someone please recommend a better one?

    Thank you,
    Gordon

Well I went out and purchased a different microphone. And unfortunately, I am still not able to record my voice with the software (still getting lots of static). So maybe the problem is indeed with the software. If you are currently using, or have used the software, could you please give some feedback/tips on how to get this software feature to work?

    Thanks,
    Gordon

First, check the microphone using another software, like Audacity (free) or Soundforge (pay)
if the sound is perfect, contact the support of gfxwriter and they gonna solve your problem

I finally figured it out! All I had to do was adjust some settings within the RealTek HD Audio Manager panel (I increased the recording volume and enabled the "noise suppression" setting under microphone effects).
