definately ageed with previous posters that PR has nothing to do with traffic levels. The keyword tools could be used to let you predict how much traffic you can potentially generate from each term you are targeting and ranking for.

 

Doesn't matter, whats the PR, all depends on content of the site.

 

Not only the Page Rank will bring you traffic.

 

Page rank is completely based on back links and domain age not the amount of traffic we get..........

 

That's a flew Question, Having a Pagerank 3 or 5 or 0 does not in any case affects the no. of visitors nor decide the sure visitor. Page rank just decides the authority of the page and quality of content it does not in any sense attract any traffic.

We cann't say that PR will produce a traffic but it will increase back links.

 

The first thing you need to know is that PR has nothing to say about traffic. I know some high traffic blogs that have no PR. PR is merely a ranking passed by other webpages through backlinking.

 

it's nothing to do with PR, you can have very low traffic on some websites. Though on blogs when they have PR3 usually they have good traffic 2500-5000 uv!

Page rank is completely useless now. I have a site that is a PR-6 that only gets 20 visits per day. Traffic is the most improtant factor.

Traffic is entirely dependent on search engine rankings (serps): For example, if 10000 people goes to the first listing of the keyword "internet marketing" daily and you are ranked first, you get 10000 unique visitors daily! The beauty of this is that, there are tons of keywords out there that are commonly searched for, just try to get ranked in the top ten for some keywords, this will bring in traffic.

Your search rankings are entirely dependent on the relevancy, quality and the number of backlinks and content as well as the competition of other websites. The relevancy of backlinks means that the anchor text of the backlinks must have the keyword you are trying to rank for in it. For example if you are trying to rank high in the search engines for the keyword "internet marketing", your backlinks need to have "internet marketing" as the anchor text. The quality of the backlinks would refer to the pagerank of the backlinks as well as the level of authority the backlinks have. For example, a high pagerank backlink from an authority site such as well known site like wikipedia, would be a high quality backlink. However if lets say all the competitor websites have many highly relevant and high quality backlinks as well as content, chances of you getting high search rankings is also unlikely.

Pagerank is entirely dependent on the number and quality of backlinks. It is intrinsically a useless value, however it is still valuable to be used to sell backlinks to other ppl (though discouraged by google)
