Hi there, I just recently added a website to the ad network and need to know if it's ok. The site has been around for a while, I did not want to add it because I was using it mostly for my own testing purposes and one of the scripts I had running was cloaking a portion of the website... I know cloaking is against the TOS and that is why I didn't add the co-op ads to this particular site. Now, I have replaced the old website (a while ago) with a blog... just a personal homepage more or less. I have implemented a 301 redirect to my ROOT for all non-existant pages and waited for them to drop out of the index. The Google index has flushed almost all of the old pages, there is nothing on the website to violate the TOS but the 301 is still in place because some SEs will request old pages from time to time... Is this site acceptable? I hope so... but I don't want to risk losing my account. You could send me an email or message if you need the URL. thanks.
From what you mention it sounds just fine. If you comply with the TOS now, it doesn't matter what used to be there. If there are still old pages in the G index, you might get in trouble with validation so you could ask Google to remove those. Search the forums for a page exclusion request form.
I already validated fine, that is why I am asking. I've been waiting a while for the site to clean up so I could add it to the ad-network. I wanted to make sure it wouldn't bee a problem. But as far as adding the script and validating is concerned, everything went as smooth as silk! Thanks for the reply, I will continue using the site and developing it further.
