Hi I was wondering what would be the best ratio of monthly searches vs competing sites on a particular keyword or key phrase? what number of competitors should I stay below to be able to get a good rank if i do some thorough SEO. Thanks
I just use market samurai keyword finder it just shows me the $-per and # of keyword Although ill be happy to sell it to u ill give u a pic if u want
I already use a similar program to that. The question I'm asking is what would be the right balance between search volume/competition, I know in the ideal world this would be:- Infinite Search Volume / against no competition. But we don't live in that Ideal world, so what I'm asking is when it comes to selecting a keyword, what would be the minimum search volume I should look out for, as well what is the maximum competing sites for that keyword should be. I hope someone can understand me hehe
When I was doing bum marketing I was searching for keywords that have about 100-500 daily searches and less then 20.000 competing sites in google when searching in quotes. I hope this helps. Good luck
How difficult would it be to get on the first page using that criteria? Why do you search for competition using quotes, actual competition for the keyword would be without quotes?
You can use this freely available tool from google. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
With that criteria it's fairly easy to be on the first page IF it isn't already saturated with sites like squidoo, ezinearticles, hubpages, propeller, digg etc.
