Do you use a company to run it and take care of anything or are you using software you bought? If you bought software what did you buy and what is your opinion of it?

We developed our own software. That way we are more comfortable and flexible with the operations.

    Hi,

I just setup my own affiliate program. I bought Post Affiliate Pro (http://www.qualityunit.com). It wasn't too difficult to set up and has tons of features and their support is very good too.

I have not personally set one up, but I can say that using something like Shareasale or Linkshare will mean that they take care of quite a bit of it plus they already have a lot of users on their site already so you will probably get a good amount of them also promoting your program.

If you use a script that you purchase and host yourself then you have to directly promote it and try and get your own affiliate signups plus you have to deal with the fraud and things if any arises.

I'm no PHP expert, so I can't answer your question, But I have found the qualityunit.com support to be pretty good, so I would suggest asking them.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Don't forget that putting your campaign through a network can have many other benefits, likem fraud prevention, creative control, affiliate management, affiliate recruitment, offers, etc.

Buying a script is only a small part of running a successful affiliate campaign.

    Thats OK

Apparently you can only do five levels tiers that compress holes in the tiers for dropouts if you want mlm kind of thing.
However mass pay I think saves years of admin :)))))

So what is you guys´ overall opinion regarding 2 tier or no tier programs. Do the tier programs really help recruit quality affiliates?
