Hi, we have all seen the google chart, i know there is alot more to PR and what the chart is showing, however i still have a question about it, I dont undrestand it, for example how many PR 5 linking back you to get a PR 7, and for those who have never seen the chart, http://www.sitepronews.com/pagerank.html please can someone explain it to me?
Well, according to that chart, you need 555 PR5 links to be a PR7. That's how I understand it anyways.
Who cares about pr, focus on serps and the pr will come. I would not go by that chart, what if it is a non relevant link that google is not going to count.
I agree. No amount of links will guarantee you a certain page rank. There are on page factors, site analysis factors, etc. - for instance... a pr5 link on a page with only one outbound link on it will be of different value than one that has 20 links on it. A PR5 link on two different sites will benefit you in different ways - is the content relevant to your content? Is the site trusted? or an authority site? And then come in the phantom factors that google could be incorporating - like "how long does a visitor stay on that page?" etc. Make quality content. Continuously promote your site so people know about your quality content. Occasionally sacrifice something up to the gods. Keep chicken bones handy. And never make anyone angry who looks like they might know voodoo.
lol. yes, i have stuck pretty much to the write unique content and promotion, everything else will come, just this chart really puzzeled me
