well, most people do it by buying traffic, but i don't think that is the best way. The best way is to advertise as much as possible, and exhange links with other people.

I think you can do the following depending on the site if you use adsense don't do it .. 1- autosurf and manual surf ( adsense sites doesn't allowing auto surf so you better don't have ads .. ) Adsense TOS 2- posting articles on several sites and write your site 3- pay per post sites ( pay for people who posting your site on blogs and forums ) and PTC sites .. donkey mail and so ..
In my opinion it takes time and a lot of effort to bring 1000+ unique visitors per day to any site. A good start would be to determine your target market and come up with keywords relating to your target market. Write articles around your targeted keywords and submit the articles to directories.
