I was reading google guidelines for webmasters and it says not to have over 100 outbound links per page. On one of my websites, example, www.example.com, i have about 117 links to other pages og my website, example.com/page1, example.com/page2, etc, plus only about 4 outbound links to other websites. Is that too much links to other pages? If i make a page, example.com/pages/ and than place like 70 links in there example.com/pages/pages1, etc, that will leave about 40 links from the main page to other pages, will the main page have better rank in search engines? Will it make any difference?
I dont thing its will cause any prob.. if link to other site may be penalized by link selling.. But linking to same site page no problem.. but google will not index all the links...
It is just a guidelines by google to tell that not give out more than 100 outgoing links from one page. They have a good reason for that too. The more links go out from one particular page, the quality of link drops. It is best to keep your outgoing links at minimum to give the best value for any outgoing links from your site.
