I'm about to open a hosting account as godaddy and I see they offer a sort of seo service called traffic blazer. They say it helps you optimize you rankings. do you think this is a useful add-on, or I should as well do my own seo?

You should design your website based on the service to your customers, not to SEO. Starting at the point of designing a site to meet search engines will lose the attraction to customers. So I do think before starting, try to think how you can serve your clients or visitors to your sites, try to make your site useful to users and make users bookmark your site and introduce others to your site.

After finishing the website, if no budget, you can do some seo by yourself. If you have, you shall still make your self the main of doing seo, and then you can try some such services. They are professionals, sometimes maybe they will help you more or less.

I took a look and I think that GoDaddy package is not worth the money.

godaddy hosting is utter crap, once by client buyed it thinking godaddy domains are branded so even hosting will be good, but that is completly false.

I have also one godaddy account and its websites loads a bit too slow so far, altthough I haven't run anything special.

I'm personaly satisfied with Dreamhost, although I host there only static pages and their powerfull control panel loads too slow... too slow...

Thanks all for the advise. I went with godaddy indeed, but for one month only. I'll extend if I'm satisfied.
