A person bought our Email marketing script few days back. He asked refund by saying that the script is not same as the description. Since we sold only few copies of this script, I thought there may be any error/issue which was not found during our Testing. So, I asked him to tell the issues, and informed him that I will correct the issues if he gives the details. But he is not giving any details about the issue, instead just asking the refund. I refused to give the refund as he already got the script and returning script is meaningless. In the sales page itself I have mentioned as "Do complete analysis before buying this Script. Buy this Script only if you feel it is useful for you." And, we have provided demo also. He should have seen the demo before buying the script. Since I refused to give the refund, now he escalated this dispute to paypal. My question is how paypal will treat this dispute, what the things I need to take care when dealing paypal disputes. And, whether paypal will ask to give refund for digital product also?
You can call paypal and let them know of everything related to this transaction such as There is no harm giving it a try for the safe side. DON.
it might depends on the paypal , the paypal will make the final decision after investigate and check all the evidence provided by both party. As i know, buyer are protected in digital product trading
Thanks for your reply. I have updated the paypal dispute with the details from my side. Let us see how paypal takes decision. Actually the price in this case is less ($15 USD). But I want to use this dispute as an opportunity to understand the paypal rules practically so that I can use paypal with care when start selling high price digital products in future.
