A question about optimising page titles ...

Can someone tell me if the title of a page is particularly important, eg is:

better or worse than:

..or is either perfectly acceptable?

 

I think its better to have Adult-Search-Engines.html as the search engine will see - as a space.

Yep indeed its best to use - rather than jamming the word all together.

 

" - " is better than "_" but it isnt a really big difference.

 

Well, you should make them with the hyphen, and use this structure :

http://www.domain.com/category-3/sub-category-4/product-2.html

This worked for me, better then ending with a directory slash, eg. :

http://www.domain.com/category-3/sub-category-4/product-2/

 

Thanks for the replies folks. I have now renamed all pages using hyphens to indicate spaces and all pages now end .html.
