In using google webmaster tools, why do you see a steady number of impression? as if Google set the number as a constant for our impression on search queries. Is the result actually accurate at all? any thoughts about this would be appreciated.
In addition Ive added a screen cap of our actual stats for a better look. (attached image) is it possible to have a fixed impression value? I see that our keyword impression value always at ####s over a period of time. daily impressions is at 5,500 almost everyday while clicks vary I see a straight line with no minimal peaks and drops peaks at 6500 and drops at 4500 that's 1000 variance all even numbers clicks on the other hand is more realistic, the numbers are not rounded in hundreds we have different numbers; 320, 35, 12, 16, etc which makes more sense while the query are all in hundreds, like 900, 700, 600, 500 seems unrealistic to me. And when you check on impression per search query the numbers seems more closer to reality like number are 16, 22, 250 but you also see estimates at <10 so maybe that's the one that is causing this strange report maybe Google is not reporting actual numbers but just estimate as it does not track exact numbers at certain level. Any other thoughts about it?
There is a setting to limit the number of impressions for display campaigns, which judging by the high numbers you are opted into. Maybe you have it set at a certain value in which case this graph would make perfect sense. The valleys are because fewer people surf on weekends and you didn't use your inventory. The system compensated on Monday (April 25) to average the impression value you set for the month.
Sorry, mybad I wasnt supposed to mention "adwords" it was a typo. Ive deleted the words adwords in my first post so that new replies will focus on google webmasters tool rather than adwords alone. Since in adwords you set limits to yourself so you don't spend a lot, its an entirely different situation in google webmasters new search queries.
