    hello,

I'm totally new with Aweber, so probably some of you have the answer to my question.

I've created a campaign (we call it Campaign-A)and place the opt in at my main website page. at the same time i also offer free ebooks to my visitors, of course through another optin. my question is, what is the best way to manage the user list. can all the free ebook optin be included as part of Campaign-A? seriously I cannot find a way to let the free ebooks optin be channeled back to Campaign-A after they download the ebook. any help is appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

Why not you use only one optin.. get it something like free newsletter or free ebook..you can start a campaign with that..

offering a freebies can be a good source of opt in. that is the reason I'm using this approach.

    bujuk,

After you give your freebie to the opt-in, you have a few options.

    1. Take them straight to the sales page for a "one-time offer"

    2. Provide e-mail updates for your site. Actually send content to the confirmed opt-ins to try to get them to come back.

    3. Send sales pitches to your opt-ins (careful, only send one sales pitch every few emails).

The whole point of having the opt-in is to get their contact information. If they're interested in your free product, they are more than likely interested in your premium products, it's just a matter of converting marginally interested readers into buyers.

Not sure I understand the issue the post is dealing with. So you have a campaign set up in Aweber that opt-in's get access to via your main site....and then you have another opt in page somewhere that users opt-in for the free e-book? So in effect you have two lists? And if so you are trying to "merge" them? Apologies in advance if I have misunderstood.

Yeah, that exactly what I want to do. Or is there a way to use only one campaign but with two (or more) different optin.

    no apologies needed :D
