Hi, new to the forums(although i'm a long-time lurker). My question is, is it allowed to use a single article on multiple article directories? Or do you have to use a different article for every article directory? Also, if it is allowed, do you recommend it and why? Thanks in advance!
Ive posted the same article on many article dirs and no problem... In theory each is a backlink and many other sites will pick up the content and then give you the backlink.... Cant see why its a problem , so go for it!
Posting the same article on multiple directories is allowed, but not every link counts as a backlink. If you submit your article to say 100 directories, the search engines will only select a handful of them to count as a backlink to your website. This is because of duplicate content filters. However, if you adjust your title of your article and modify the content of your article by about 30%, you would get many more backlinks in the long run. My advice is to put your article on your website first, then a week later submit it to EzineArticles. After waiting another week, submit a modified version to the other top directories. After another week, submit another modified version to all other directories.

You can submit to multiple directories without a problem. However, do not use the same article on your site as you have submitted to the article directories. www.ezinearticles.com is by far the best directory to use. Just remeber you are only allowed links back to your sites in the resource/bio box. stavra
In my opinion you must try to use unique article as much as possible. The search engine will use a duplicate content filter and check your articles accordingly.
