We have applied for adsense for two of our forums. We placed the adsense code in both of them. None of them showed any ads at that time. After a couple of days, we were informed that both forums have been disapproved by Google. However, one of the forum has started showing adsense ads. The other one doesn't shows any ads. We kept the code for over a week and the situation remained same. We are able to tract page views and clicks for the first forum. However, we are not sure if Google has approved it? Pls advise. If you have been disapproved, then you will not earn money from your sites. If you leave the Adsense code running, Google will show ads that don't generate income for happy causes, like fighting against malaria, or animal shelters, etc... If they have not banned your account, only the website, then you can check your stats to confirm that your income is 0$ even if you eventually see some clicks. If you were lucky, maybe there was some sort of confusion, and only one of the sites/forums is actually banned? It's normal for new sites to not show ads or to show the good-will causes ads for a day or two while the Google robots roaming the internet do their thing.
Thanks for responding. We have not been banned. The forum was never approved at the first place. This was probably because we do not meet their requirements. We have a standard phpbb3 forum. Its aged and have unique content. From what we have learned from the threads here is that we require some pages like privacy policy, contact us & sitemap in it to get approved. But then one of the forums is showing regular ads, and we are even getting paid for the clicks. And as it does not have any of the above pages, we are not sure if Google has approved us. This is what we would like to get a clarification on. Thanks!
