A problem with my blog..Server not found

    I have a blog which is hosted on blogger with a custom domain and right now it says Server not found.Till yesterday everything was working fine .I am a bit confused .other blogs hosted in blogger with subdomain(blogspot.com) is working just fine. I didnt change any setting on blogger or on namecheap. could anyone tell me what might be the problem.:confused:

    Blogspot.com could have changed IP or something. Do a traceroute and see if there is any change.

    How was it set up in Namecheap anyways.

    i used cname and put gns.google.com in dns through namecheap(just as said in blogger help).Thanx anyways .its working fine now.this is the first problem i encountered with blogger.I don know what problem was with blogger.

    could you guys tell me what do i do in trace route for future reference.I am a bit new in this area.

    can u tell me what i should be looking for when i do tracert if the same problem arise in the future?

    Traceroute typically shows you the route a ping packet takes to get to site in question. It will show which hops or intermediaries is slow or inaccessible.

    Sometimes when your ISP redirects traffic through a different route, they may not contain the current records of the IP addresses and may make it appear that your site is down or not found.

    Traceroute would in a way tell you how healthy the route between you and the site you are trying to reach. If you do see huge time out near your ISP end then the problem is with your ISP and if it is nearer the site then it is the site connection issue.

    This is more likely a question related to server administration, not domains names since your are not the the owner of blogspot :rolleyes:
