I found a thread on this at another forum I visit. It's about San Pedro Prison in La Paz, Bolivia Scroll through the pics and read the captions, it's crazy... http://www.marchingpowder.com/
Wow, Nice prison. You have to buy the cell in the prison... And you can buy 5 star prison cell too In one of our provine(nwfp) in pakistan, provinicial govt allowed prisoners to call their families and live with them for three days in the prison once in a 6 months time period. they are provided seprate cell and privacy. I dont know if such facility is given in the west but it was a new surprising thing here. Interestingly this province is govern by a religious party.
So that's what happens when you let the imates run the prison. I wonder how successful people are at taking what they learn in prison and applying it to the real world so they can stay out of prison. In the US the idea is to make prison horrible so you don't want to come back. I wonder if prison business owners end up wanting to stay in prison because they have it better or running a business in prison is just too different from running a business in the real world. If they could get rid of the drugs and show a positive change in the inmates it might be worth taking some ideas into other countries. I wonder if murders don't get the pool treatment because the victims "had it coming to them."
Great post man, awsome story and the domain name is absolute class. If anyone doesn't understand the quality of that domain name www.marchingpowder.com post here and AGS will tell ya.
I don't know what the domain is all about. I just found the pictures and caption to be highly interesting
The domain name is excellent. There is a slang name for the drug cocaine and it is called "Bolivian Marching Powder." There ya go, your uncle AGS has taught you something new today.
oh, interesting. I submited this to reddit and it's on the frontpage right now. This guy is going to sell a lot of books =x
Hmmm.... I don't see much difference between the 'housing developments' I have seen in China, Cuba, or Eastern Europe when it was still under communism. Central government controls housing. Small, filthy and dilapidated, often unsafe both structurally and crime-wise. Curfew at certain hours in certain sections of the city. Water, electricity and gas is rationed. Prison? Hardly. A prison is a place in where people are confined and deprived of a range of liberties. These individuals seems can leave any time if they chose to.
I'd like to take this time to point out that I have had no arguments with AGS what so ever in this thread. This is perhaps a first. Stranger things have happened though
This guy should have sold some of those pictures to Pepsi... looks like he caught Coke in an ethics violation that would probably hurt market share if word got out.
