In the beginning of August I noticed there was a small update by Google.

It was concerning to all those internal pages that were missed with PR on April update.
I noticed it on my directory.

In April those pages though preety strong dropped from PR 3 at least to 0.
What's interesting - deeper pages keep its PR.
    So let's say I had: Finance category PR 0 but Finance/Loans/ - PR 3 ....

From first days of August Finance category is PR 4 (never was).
And Internet/Directories/ - was PR 3, then in April PR 0, and in August - PR 4...

As there was no minor PR update I wonder if anyone here noticed similar changes...

this round PR update is really strange. It didn't touch any of my PR5 directories ( I want it most), however about one month ago, I did notice that quite many inner pages of other directories such as www.thenextlink.com got PR2...I am sure there are not that many before.

I noticed it happening in the directories I submit to after the one before this last update. They were generally new on the circuit with lots of empty cats. My directories also launched with a lot of grey and a home page of either PR 0 or PR 1 rather than the 3's and 4's I was used to. It doesnt appear to have affected back links or indexing though. I think Google is just cleaning up a few of the myths surrounding PR. Its nothing to worry about.

Did the site you refer to actually have PR on its pages or does it just have a PR6 on the index page? In which case it might just be a dropped domain.

If you have seen PR on those inner pages recently (and they appear to have disappear) it might be something to do with PR update (which is still pending), either that or your toolbar was unable to retrieve the PR information when you last checked...

I just checked the site with PR checker for inner pages

It has only 40 pages which has some sort of internal PR (Most of the other pages are PR0)

I wonder what has happened to that directory?
