I was just reading these Google related posts and almost every time people opens a new thread there is some truth in their words.

The main question is : Why Google is so restrictive? Why Google is like a prestigious University who accepts only the best of the best?

    So far I learned:

    1. Fast growing sites, too many pages in a short period of time = Sandbox
    2. Duplicate content = Supplemental results
    3. No quality backlinks = Supplemental results
    4. Your website is too young = sandbox or supplemental
    5. SERP changing almost every week
    6. Don't sell links
    7. Don't buy links
8 It is good to have high page ranked backlinks, this is a good vote for you, right?
    9. A website has to be made for visitors not for search engines...
    ....
    ....
    ....
    n. Whatever :D

Now, I am just thinking to another question? How should a webmaster proceed? Which is the right road, way to follow?

I think that there are quite a few of us who can claim that they never sold a link, bought a link, exchanged link. Like in harry Potter and the order of Phoenix...almost everything is PROHIBITED. What if I'm not smart enough to create tools like page rank predictors, page strengh stuff, so people to link to me in a natural way? Do I have to sue Google??? hehehe

What if I have 2 cats and 3 dogs and I blog about it? Will link naturally somebody to me? Why should somebody link to a post about how nice is my cat?? :p You got the point...

Where are those webmasters with high page rank sites who are really linking to a resource? Who can raise their hand and confirm that they have a PR8 or 7 site and they never sold a link? Even large and old PR9 sites are selling links...so what is correct after all? Should we go and report each and every webmaster for buying and selling links?

Also another fact is the money you have. There are several great sites, who had a great budget. But how to dare to invest a lot of money to buy links when actually you should not buy links and the other part shoulkd not sell links. Oh, there is the answer...use nofollow.

Then...about the content. How much content/day is ok? Too much isn't because you are penalised, right? Should a webmaster write or create a page every week or ... every second day?

Also, submission in directories is ok? If you spend $2000 to submit your website on a few good directories, worths the invested money. Although directories don't generate traffic. So, why? To chase a permanent listing from a Page rank 3-5 page?? Oh I also learned that you don't even have to bother with DMOZ, that editors are lazy, that they will never accept your website only if you have an idiot website about something they never heard of...like the hystory of red shoes and green hats. :)

Also why people is so mad after Page rank? Some of you is telling that isn't so important, others opens threads about a page rank update and in 2 days there are hundreds of posts...

So you see? there are so many questions and I'm sure those few great websites who has a good income don't raise these questions.

So guys and girls, one more time : how to proceed? What to do and what not to do?
