This post will help in providing tips to come up with the right keywords for your site. Its a fact that to get that for a site to be found through search engines it all begins with a word typed in the search box. Since there are millions of people using the same keywords it may sometimes become hard for the crawler to find your site. The main reason of coming up with a good keyword is not only to come up with many visitors but also targeted visitors who are after what you are giving. You need to do a research when coming up with keywords. So how do you do it? First of all you need to make sure that the keyword you are using is matching will with your content and is the most appropriate. If this is not the case then the search engine bot may take that as spam or what is termed as keyword stuffing. The next step you need to do is to use long tail keywords. Long tail keywords are phrases, ie instead of using a single term like 'laptop' use 'cheap laptops','cheap laptop offers' or any other as long as it is relevant in your content. It is very much easier to rank for the a more specific term than a broader term which is the single word. Long tail will help you reduce the demand and also getting you more targeted visitors. Have as many keywords as possible. there is no limit, as long as you are not stuffing or using some irrelevant ones Use keyword tools-keyword tools will help you a lot if you use it well. There are many tools that have different capabilities and different information. I use the free Google Ad-words tool to do my research and it helps me to know how many searches a keyword has in a month and some other important factors. It helps a lot in providing data about the number of visitors a keyword gets in a month and how tight it is in your webpage. There are other many keyword research tools which are free to use and still provide excellent results. Now that you have got the right keyword that is relevant to your content, got long tail keywords,no stuffing and that you have used the tools to help get the most appropriate, you are done for the Keyword part. hope this was helpful in finding the right keyword.
I don't think this is true. Though every business would like to see itself ranking No. 1 in millions of keywords. The truth is SEO costs. You put time, effort and money in to rank for each keyword you've selected. So be careful about this, evaluate all the words you got in mind and ONLY focus on those who may bring the highest returns (purchases). Spend every cent wisely!
Thank you for this great advice.A keyword is a special word which describes your content. When you write an article you write it on a topic and keywords helps the search engine recognize what kind of an article is it ? And for what terms should it rank it.
Great post! Just to add up though, if you’re paying attention to what is being said around some of the topics and concepts that directly and indirectly relate to your business, you are more likely to be aware of the subtle differences in how your intended customer might phrase a search request. Most online users don’t know the jargon and industry vocabulary that you and your coworkers take for granted. As mentioned earlier (but it’s so important that it’s worth repeating), when developing your content strategy, if you focus on insider language, you’re not really going to be able to take full advantage of the traffic that could be generated for your site, for free, by the search engines. You can get immediate insights into trending topics affecting your business. By understanding what’s going on in conversations of potential customers, you can develop rich answers to their most pressing questions.
Thanks Sophia for that. Just to clarify. I didn't mean that you get them paid up with SEO companies. I believe you can optimize it. its not rocket science to do that. This is what i have been doing and sincerely i can say i have seen improvements than using few keywords.
really not thinking so when you get your hands down and dirty. Kind of boils down to links and page rank as sad as it is to say
