    Hello!

I read somewhere about a mailing chain that consits:

You send an email with a list of 3 paypal ccounts to all your contacts. You explain that everyone should send US$1 to those 3 paypal accounts. Then, they must change the last paypal account to their own and forward that email to all their contacts.......

Is that legal? I mean, you are just sending money to a chain of people without any promise or duty or whatever.....

    What do you think?

Yes, I think they called it "the $6 scheme", but if you analyze it, it could work very well. The question is:Is it legal?

Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries - US, Australia & more ........

(but these are not illegal in few countries, yet)

I think it depends on the country if it is illegal or not. Anyone here care to share if you have any luck with this paypal strategy?

I don't think it is stupid if people do it....

If you send it to 50 people, and just 5 do it you earn 5$ at the first level,....thrn increases.

If there is a lawyer in da house.....please comment ;)

If you send it to 50,000 people 5 might do it... this has been around pretty much sicne PayPal started and no one actually goes along with it... give a shot if you must but I think you will be throwing your $3 away... and plus with all these people only paying you $1, after PayPal fees you might end up with what 50 or 60 cents from each person? lol.

You wouldn't want to do that because then the pyramid effect wouldn't work... to make the msot money you ant to get $1 from all the people you send the email to, then $1 from all the people they send the email to, and finally $1 from all the people they send the email to.

If you put your name right at the top, you are only going to get $1 from the people who you sent it to, and then they will put their name as the #3, the #3 name as the #2, the #2 name as the new #1 and bump you right off.

The scheme is capabale of making on hell of a pile of money, the thing is that governments know this and have made it illegal, and they have gotten a bad name and now people just kind of laugh them off. But all in all they are a very sound plan if you can get people to follow them.
