...and my traffic (at least on that page) has shot up. I now have a lot of eyes seeing that page..

The site that linked to mine is sort of a blog site and I don't expect the entry with my link in it to be on the main page forever...Is there anything I can do to leverage my new found luck into consistant traffic or do I just hope for the best...?

What would you do or reccomemend for someone in my shoes?

Make sure you've got some links to other pages on your site from the "hot" page. The other guy's page may be cached for a while but it won't last forever. Not sure there's anything you can do to make the good luck more permanent.

    Got the link thing covered.

btw, I really like www.stackpoint.com. Great info and - "What is your DAILY Adsense revenue?" - an even better poll question.

what is the link to? A video? If so maybe try to show links to other videos with sample images on that page, and try to update your site frequently to make them consistent checkers.

Another thought is to leverage the video/page and send to other like sites and see if they will link to it as well.

If you have a little formula there, you can create a relevant like-kind page and see if others may continuously link to the content... may be reaching, but you have one, see if you can get a few others.

If the content goes old, will a redirect send the added pr to your homepage?

Maybe you can use the traffic coming to your site to sign up for a newsletter. This way you can easily build a list of opt-in subscribers and use it regularly to get returning visitors to your site.
