Hi guys, I've been on DP awhile obviously, although I've never posted in this section - I'm very new to PHP and attempting to learn by making simple little things, such as very basic plugins. So that I can familiarize myself with the process of getting a plugin into WordPress (as in listed for other users to install, not just uploading it for use on my own blog) I was looking for some help. I understand that one creates their plugin along with a readme file, but then what? I can't see any direct upload options or the like. Any instructions, step by step, broken down for a PHP/WP newbie would be greatly appreciated Thanks all, Alexis.
I do not understand your question, but if you're saying what I think you're saying... then do the following: Create a folder called "thenameofyourplugin" and compress it (to a .zip NOT .rar) and give it out to users.
I know how to get it onto a WordPress blog, my question is about having it listed in the WordPress directory. Is that clearer?
Oh, now I see! It's easy, I've done it a few times before. This should work: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add/
