A noob question on subdomain

    As we know , we can track the traffic, source from Google analytics when u submit the site.
    I know subdomain also can but the " noob question here is , I using my subdomain to redirect to an affiliate site " So is impossible to add to to google analytics track the traffic right?

    UNLESS, I install wordpress do a landing page like that do hyperlink to that affiliate site
    Install the google code than I can track?
