    You don't need to cross post and you should probably mention that your site is NSFW.

    really? is this posting from 1996?

    meta tags do very little for your rankings. you should focus on your backlinks, content, page titles, h tags, etc....

    I still use meta tags, but it's really just to remind myself which keywords I'm focusing each page on. For every page I make, I spend about 12 seconds on the meta tags.

    it's also important to find competitive keywords (google 'fining competitive keywords' or something of the sort...

    ? no.

    Meta tags aren't very important. You should still use meta keywords and description, and make them unique for each page, but don't focus much time on them. Fill them in once, and you never have to touch them again. And don't rely on them for good search results... they won't get you higher ranks.

    Meta tags are important and all major search engines consider.
    Meta keyword is optional though.

    BTW this OP website is adult oriented

    keywords != PR.

    Keywords will determine how you rank in the search engines.

    Pagerank is a stupid scale used to show your link juice. Nothing more.

    Your question should actually be, "How do I optimize this site for the search engines?"

    From Matt Cutts himself:

    "I personally would love to see more human input into search at Google. But the flip side is that someone has to pay attention to potential abuse by bad actors. Maybe it's cynical of me, but any time people are involved, I tend to think about how someone could abuse the system. We've seen the whole tagging idea in Web 1.0 when they were called meta tags, and some people abused them so badly with deceptive words that to this day, most search engine give little or no scoring weight to keywords in meta tags."

    I think that it's clear that you want to focus on content and backlinks.
