So as a starting career on these directoires,I just got this job to add my client website in 500 directories. I have got some huge collections from DP which iam very thankfull of. But one thing what I like to ask is that those directories are asking email address. Can I put yahoo id on those during submission. and how long does it take to confirmed posts? Thanks very much duke
some free directories will never accept you, they have a list of thousends of pending submissions email addy doesnt matter, it just helps prevent robots from doing it.
Somehow e-mails that match the domain name seem to get me more approvals But a yahoo e-mail wont really matter

Very simple answers have already been posted. When you get into the directory market there are a few ways to look at it. If you are serious about joining the directory community then you need to start with a few things. One the script. Anywhere from free to 250.00. Design, free template, or custom design anywhere from 150-1000.00. Actual promotion depends on your budget. As promoting a directory is not a simple thing to do. You must not set your self up to fail either. Plan a budget. Spend 80%-85% on getting quality listing in other directories and text links. Keep 15% for specials that are offered such as in the directories promotion section here on DP. Actual quality promotion never ends with a directory. It is not like owning a regular hit and quit it site. If you are serious you will not actually make a return for quite some time, as all the money you do make should go back into promotion and getting your site known. To be honest, it all depends on what you really want to come of your directory. Besides the actual promotion of the directory you will spend alot of time on it as well. custimizing it, creating a seperate look for yourself from the others, adding mods, reading on forums to learn more of what to do to promote, ect. As stated previously, most people think owning a directory is a simple and small task, but if you actually want your directory to have success then it is a never ending cycle.
