A newbie question on selling domains

Hi,

This is a really silly question I know but please bear with me. I have a UKREG domain and, if I was to sell it, how would I get it so that the other person was the new owner. How would I transfer it to them?

Maybe if you rephrase it ?

 

You would do a "push" to the buyers account at the same domain registrar you are currently using. That puts the domain you own into the buyers own account.

 

If its a .co.uk domain you need to complete a nominet transfer form and send that and id and letter to the buyer who completes the rest and sends on to nominet along with £11 transfer fee. make sure they pay first tho or use escrow.

 

So it's much easier if said person has a UKREG account?

 

yes if UKREG give permission to push your domain.

 

I think they do, there is a button to transfer between accounts.

Yeah usually even if they don't have a process to allow you to push within the account, you can usually request via a help email for them to do it for you. They aren't losing any business after all either!
