Hey guys, I'm seeing a trend that I don't understand yet. I search for the term "johnnyforex" to test which sites in google are referring to my site. I look at the search results, and google is actually some how indexing its own adwords ads. I have a campaign of four different adwords ads out there. I can see the exact wording and link of my adwords ad in the google search results. From what I knew, adwords is done via javascript. Someone some how is converting js to pure html so that the ad text gets indexed along with the page. Also, if I type in link:[my website] nothing shows but if i do the above, it shoes 417 pages indexed, and 90% of these have a link back to my site. Is this a new trend in link building? HOw is it being done?
I'm seeing more now lol.... how in the world.? You know, I viewed source of some of these and the HTML that would be generated by adwords actually shows up (as opposed to the javascript code).
I haven't seen this before, I will have to keep my eyes out in the future. Im just trying to find an example now.
I've also seen it for a while. It seems the more you spend on Adwords, the more of those you see - so it may be based on a percentage of total Adwords. I have a theory on this - that Google is allowing you to buy backlinks from them. I've seen pages with Adwords links on them appear in the Google webmaster tools link count, which means these Adwords links which Google is accidentally indexing are actually counting towards increasing your pagerank, albeit temporarily. They seem to go away after a few link updates, but then new ones are there in their place. What do you think? Strange coincidence, or is Google awarding Adwords buyers with extra backlinks?
