the more we have.... the more money we can make i have an investor that is willing to spend alot of money to try and secure a new TLD.
Then he needs to get with it, there are, that I know of, at least 10 different deals working right now, to secure rights to some ccTLD's, that are feasibly worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The game is serious. If you are just considering something and not acting, you have already missed the opportunity.
I would have suggested .bs - but that's already there. Loadof . bs is ready for registration. Only $500.
Not kidding. I think it's Bahamas - and they, of course, have surreal registration pricing... and renewal is 100 bucks a year. Anyway - if DP works as usual - some idiot would already have registered it now... But I think social bookmarking sites should have a .bs tag - and if enough tags a site as s*** it should be moved I can name more than a few of the top of my head.
.me (which will be the ccTLD for Montenegro) is sure to have some interesting domain hacks if it becomes open to global public registration.
.doc I thing the above one would be great, because it is already associated with something. However, I'm not sure that Microsoft will agree with this - it's their format after all. Another one I'd like to see is: .bul as an alternative TLD for Bulgaria. The current .bg registrar does not give a flying di*k for the people who want to register a .bg domain. The procedure is so crazy, that is able to discourage anyone.
Lets face it, the lame ad clicker would visit any of these tld, except from an excellent/link ad - and thats the only kind of traffic most webmasters are concerned about. Not speaking about myself or any of you guys, just in general. Suggestions/flames are most welcome
i don't think it will be ccTLD for Montenegro, for Montenegro ccTLD would be .cg (Crna Gora). Like for my country, Croatia, ccTLD is not .cro, it's .hr (Hrvatska)
I think .web would work the best as far as popularity goes, if you look at it the long way though, it is a bit redundant: ex. WWW(worldwideweb).domain.WEB But who looks at it that way! I would love to use .WEB ( the world also needs another $0.99 domain too! )
Not a chance .. The discussion lately on ICANN reject plans to create a domain for pornography websites ending with the .xxx suffix .
