Here's a new site of mine, take a look, let me know what you think of a) how it looks and b) the concept: http://www.listedwrong.com
nice idea. Is it leagl with ebay though? good way to send your affiliate link through. Would be interested in partnering with you for an Aussie one!
oh also the site design is a little scratchy in FireFox, but its simple and that approach works. I would probably offer a hom link and a few "testimonials" etc to spice it up a bit and offer something for search engines to pick up on
Simple and looking great. Only one suggestion from me let be the size of header too as of body size. Header is giving an impression as if the site is with some free hosting. I wish all the best with your site.
I don't see why it wouldn't be legal with eBay. I was thinking about adding searches for other eBay locations, maybe try to detect where the user is coming from and search the appropriate one... Or give them the option to select a location. Glad you like it, though. Think you'd use it?
Danny: The header is a link back to the home page, but I'll add some a link back on the search pages as well. Once I get some people using it I'll try to get some testomonials out of them. ;-) ramakrishna: How does it look like it's with some free host? I think you're saying that the header is too big?
The height is alright. The width is different from body size. Because of this the header is looking as if it is sepatated from bottom part.
agree the header is wider than the body in firefox which is what i was so poorly trying to say. otherise it is simple and effective I would probably try to rais eits profile with some ebay tutorials or articles on how to make money with ebay, it may help you make some money and raise your PR. Would anyone mind critiquing my site posted a few posts below? sorry to hijack!
I think you have wrong construction: with 800x600 your header is bigger than the body with 1024x768+ your header is smaller than the body. Make a choice man, or just have some background which will resize with your site's body in order to have equal header and body like you dod on the footer. Thats the first thing that eyes chatch when entering the site
mikebrad0927: Sometimes there are, sometimes there aren't. I'm trying to figure out why that is. If there's a gallery picture associated with an auction listing it's supposed to be displayed, but sometimes it's not in the feed so it's not displayed. But if you refresh the page it'll be there. Hopefully I'll have that worked out tomorrow. I've added a "tell a friend" script, added a navigation menu to the left hand side, made all pages a fixed sized instead of variable, fixed the problem with the footer (it wasn't lined up properly), added a "contact" page and will be adding an "about" page tomorrow, along with a pair of pages with some articles - one for selling, another for buying on eBay. Whew. I'm tired and my fingers hurt. Enough coding for one day. ;-)
good luck with your site, I really do think it's a nice idea and a win-win situation for you and the potential buyer. All you need is traffic!
