I just started this site. It is designed for you to post all the weird stuff that goes on about your office. I named these "cubicities" after the cubicle world of the corporate office. So post your weird, frustrating or any stories about your office, the people within, procedures and whatever. We will be giving away a $25 voucher for a randomly selected user submitted cubicity in the next fortnight, so start posting and sharing your office frustrations with the world. click to open link in new window Daniel
There's no link in your post. You didn't exactly make it convenient for us to go look. I like the pagetop image a lot, but I think it would look better if you integrated the page title into that graphic somehow and got ride of some of that white space up there. You also need some posts to get it started. Other than that, I think it's a cute idea.
Here is a more convenient link for everyone: http://cubicities.com I also like the header image, but as the previous poster said it would be good to get rid of white space which you seem to have a good deal of around. Also, in Firefox (v. 1.5.0.3 here) the menus on the left don't appear to be coming out properly. They are wider than the left column they're probably supposed to fit. Those email and print images besides entries could look better if they were transparent images. You can use pngs and even gifs for that. There's lots of free icons around for that so it shouldn't be a problem to find. But overall, the idea is really good and with a few fixes the design may be pretty cool as well, nice and simple. Good luck! Daniel
thank you guys for the advice. In Firefox for me it looks ok. I will start the CSS again. This is the first time I have used CSS and divs rather than tables so that is probably the start of my issues Sorry for not placing the link, thought I had lack of sleep is to blame, cant wait till my son is over his flu
Ok made some changes. The top banner was causing a few issues but I may have gotten around this. Also I need a few suggestions on what I should do with the white space. Presently I am going to "lift" the whole thing and remove the top. Daniel
hello Daniel. The site is nice and clean and the idea is great! I see that you have not removed the top white space. Maybe it will be a good idea if you add some ads or banners there, like done on this site. http://www.shoppingonlinebargains.com/ (The site is very new and has to go under a lot of design and development changes, but just wanted to show as an example)
I think I will remove the top white space today. Thank you for the suggestions. Just need to get more people participating in adding some stories. I am sure nce it starts to get a few links and profile is raised it should be quite fun and ammusing
