A new Pagerank 2 web directory needs help

My new web directory EWhose.com has a google PR of 2. Could someone tell me how to promote it, so that it gets links and articles submissions? If you have a link(s), you are welcome to list it. 

 

 

I have an article directory too and I don't really know how to promote it. I just post on forums everyonce in a while

 

After going through some other forums, I figured advertisement/marketing is the best way to promote. So, I am thinking about running some DP and adBrite campaigns. 

 

do my own way get an .edu domain , post your article related you niche , that one point to your niche with 3 outbound dofollow - trackback backlinks , then ping - bookmark -blog comment that point to your .edu domain , the same static page article that point to you home page with the 3 dofollo backlinks, so you'll have the bcklinks just from High PR websites That one google loves .EDU , your will never get banned from backlinks blasting or deindex . any many more fetures plus if then you create a little php lines into your domain index that can create around 50k - 100k unique visits by day just with some good footprint

But how can you buy a .EDU domain? Isn't it only for universities or educational institutes?

is for company , and for the guy tat reply here where said everybody can do it , i'll tell you no is not possible . You have to be a Company register in that country where you suppouse to get the .edu domain give em all info why u need it what' u are going to do with it and other things . Such we did that already ( about 3 years and 8 months ago ) we are able to register .edu domain and we can register .edu domain for other people to , and " NO,not everybody can register it !" we do need contact info , email and know what domain you want register , and sum more small things , but you as normal person and not such a company you can't register it

That's for US and UK ...... once you post a link read full of it .... are 3 years and 8 months we register em.... and for been a company for educations we can do it and we're elegible for register em .

 

It's not truly .edu, but .edu.xy. It's .edu of a different country, but not US for sure.

 

You can always advertise the directory via blog commenting on other sites in the same niche, ensure that the comments adds value or it may simply be removed by the admin

 

Submissions and nothing else, I mean what is the use of such a perfect directory when no one can find it.You should focus on the promotions as well.

 

I think you need promotion maybe offline as well as online. Having a good ad campaign could result in decent amount of traffic. I guess all basic SEO necessities mentioned above could be a great foundation.

I am working on directory and search engine submissions, promotions, and also link exchanges. Also got a rap intro video for promotion on youtube (v=AUb3T33NOWE), LOL. I am now thinking of running some ad campaigns. Here's the update of my directory:

Alexa = 723K in a month's time and improving every single day.
Pagerank = 2

 

Other than directory submisson, blog commenting and forum posting are work good in link building too.
I will suggest go to article marketing, it not only generate backlink but also traffic. Write some article related to directory and submit them to those top article directory such as Ezine, ehow etc, and guest blogging also a good way to market your directory

Get your directory listed in website like Directory critic and similar. It will give you some extra targeted traffic as well.
