how many people posting here actually work for google? I mean it kind of gives it away when the one guy started talking about google bitch slapping you for something, I mean you have GOT to have some hook up with google for those words to come out of any human beings mouth.

    Just thinking out loud!

Google opens an account (in another name of course)

Runs a few small advertising campaigns on say 100 major keywords

has their bots list any site showing said "ads"

Once they have a list of 30-40-100,000 sites or so participating they kill them all in a highly publicized move.

Seems pretty simple to me. Sometimes we forget it isn't all about the computers there are human beings sitting behind them. And they can think!

Nice move that will make Google worthless search engine. Google guys think before they do something stupid like that.

Sorry nobody would even know except the webmasters involved and let's face it nobody cares about us :(

But let me ask you a question. I assume you represent the company. If I buy advertising with your company it's placed out on thousands of sites as "paid" links? Do I have that right?

And if I agree to show your links on my sites am I paid a share of the advertising dollars?

Even though nobody cares about us, Google cares about quality content that is found by those who search for it. If your website has unique content that may be useful to people, Google will less likely ban this site.

Also, since nobody cares about us, why should we care about those who make billions of dollars off of us giving us pretty much nothing in return ...

If you pay for a link on someones website it is a paid link, but there is no way others can tell that you paid for the link.

You get a bit over 85% of the price that company gets from advertiser.
