So I was looking at my stats and data last night, and started thinking - "Why is it that some blog posts give me 2-3 sales at once, while others give me 0." Then I started thinking, "Instead of trying to replicate those blog posts, why not send more traffic to the high-converting posts?" So here's the plan, since I suck at writing landing pages, I'm going to send Ezine Article traffic straight to one blog post that resulted in two sales. But here's the thing, I sent 148 hits to that one post. So thats 74 hits to one post, resulting in 1 sale. I have over 1000 email subscribers, however, most of them are interested in bodyweight training only. I can use ezine articles to narrow down the target market. If one of my articles on average sends 8 hits to that one article, I can expect 1 sale out of 8 articles. So, here's the experiment: I'm going to write 10 ezine. If I get at least 3 sales from 10 articles (I'm expecting a higher conversion rate because of better targeting), then the method stays. If I don't hit make at least 3 sales out of 10 articles, then I scrap the method. The overall conversion rate of the product is 1/65, with average commission of $16.04. So we're looking at a potential income of 48.12 for 2 hours of work. Any thoughts?
Wish it works, also wish you make more money. If it works, tell us then. The conversion rate of 1/65 is not so good for PPC, but for Bum marketing, it is something.
What are you doing with these 1000 subscribers? Are you sending them good relevant info about body weight?
Haha, Waxman. Article marketing is one of those things that you get used to with practice. But, I am a born writer. That was my original plan - to get paid as a writer. In a way, I am. Lol.
10 articles in 2 hours = 1 article in 10 minutes approx. That's pretty quick. Did you try it out? How did it work? Why don't you try spending one hour and send 5 articles' traffic to those which do not convert? You might be underestimating sometimes.
That isn't a lot of money for 10 articles - are there any other products that you can promote? $16 is rather low commission when it comes to CB products.
I reckon you should write articles and spread them to different blog posts. Don't concentrate on one post, it is just another article that you're promoting, it's not a presell landing page so keep it spread
What I will suggest you, better understand why one post make good sales and why one sucks. Basically, understanding users behavior will give you a better insight about your reader. This will help you in long run.
