A million dollar question.

Just curious, if you win a million dollar how would you use them?

I probably will go to a luxury around a world one year vacation.
What about you?

 

I would buy a big house with 1million dollars and expensive cars.......

 

expensive "cars" ...heh...some expensive "car" cost close or more than 1m

 

Haha, I would invest it, not spend it. I would first however give 3-10% to charity.

 

I'd use it to try and convince the mods not to close this thread.

 

I would try to invest in real estate/land.

I wouldn't mind owning and renting out some places, especially in big cities. There is always going to be people who need somewhere to live.

Also wouldn't mind owning and renting out commercial property in a city.

And owning land is good too.

And, of course, some of the money would go to pay for college.

I'd put it in the bank. The interest and my online earnings would give me an okay lifestyle. Never was an extravagant person.

 

I would buy 2 million reese's candy bars..

 

I'd buy up every image host, file host, proxy site I could my hands on. Then live off the money.

 

Hmm... i would give half of it to MOM!

 

This is how I would use it:

$200,000 goes to paying off things in my family(including me)
$200,000 goes to funds for college to me and future son
$200,000 goes to buy things
$200,000 to getting sites, promoting my products, advertising business
$200,000 goes to investing things

12% to Charity (My Rule of Thumb)
60% in bank/mutual funds/stocks (interest will bring in atleast $50,000 a year, upto $150,000)
20% to start my business
8% to upgrade from my current stuff.

8% seems small, but its still $80,000

 

Pay all required income taxes
10% to charity
10% to savings/investing/retirement fund
Pay off all my debts
Buy a new Jeep
Then I would use the rest (as if there would be enough left over...) to buy up every single room on a cruise ship and only give out the tickets to people that I like.

 

I'd invest $150k, $100k charity and build a house and buy a Lexus LS. That's about it.
