A message of strategy to anyone starting out

If you're starting out with online marketing, please read this. I ran into a lot of failure, frustration and pain, with an incredible amount of work, with no return except maybe $20 here and there. If you want to market online, please understand it's not a get rich quick scheme. I was on the edge of my seat thinking $4000 in automated income would arrive tomorrow because of the next e-book I found. Please, if you have another career or education you want to pursue, stay away from this. I thought I could move through this quick, to be able to pursue my real life interests. It will be the biggest regret and time waster of my life, when I think back and think I could have worked in my field. A real field, not an isolated online field. I spent a lot of time and racked up a lot of credit card debt, believing the next get rich scheme would arrive tomorrow and I would be all set.

If you're interested in online marketing or affiliate marketing, learn what you're interested in, is it SEO, Adwords, what skills are you interested in. Stay away from affiliate marketing it involves a lot of studying to make any profit, unless you like it. Or learn information products, the 4 Hour workweek book is the best.
