The question is how can we know the distance between two place? can not use tape measure, or tape ruler.or some tools else that can measure the lengh directly. Is there any answers?
It I stretch out my thumb and little finger on my right hand to the widest points, the distance between them is exactly 8 inches. I'm not actually sure if this helps you.
Thanks for your help, but it is not a short distance, it may be over 500m. So we cannot use a finger can done that. But someone say that it can be measured without tape measure. just need other tools. Any ideas?
http://www.daftlogic.com/projects-google-maps-distance-calculator.htm Does that qualify as a tool? lol... Nigel
Does that qualify as a tool? lol... Nigel[/QUOTE] The questioner said no. that it is a map,if we don't know the name of the place, and at the same time, in that little distance, the map doesn't work. the 500m is an example, not certain to be 500m, maybe longer or shorter. Any ideas?
Well, how about this method, you can use a odometer or speedometer and a stopwatch, and get the speed of going through the distance, as well as the time, then multiply the speed and time, then you will get the approximate results. Is that the right answer? Or simply drive a motocar or motocycle, then you will know the distance, right?
woa, the questioner said it is the right answer. you are really impress me, why didn't i got that kind of idea?
Distance = Rate X Time If you know any two of those numbers you can ALWAYS calculate the missing variable.
