I bet that cured his son! :p

Maybe it's not just the kid who has autism. :p

Some people when see a problem, they try to fight it any way they can. Not every one is a little coward who puts his tail between his legs like a frightened mouse and runs to another country.

I watched the video this morning with my wife. I gave him an 8, but she only only gave him a 5, which brings his average to a paltry 6.5. She felt he didn't arch enough.

Just as a clarification . The guy did it to protest not to take his life . Desperation is very high in Romania ATM so this kind of gesture ain't that uncommon in the face of the PS (prime sinister) .

Jumping from a balcony ain't fighting. It doesn't cure Autism.

He's just another socialist, whining because the government won't give him more of other people's money.

His son may not have joined a political party yet Spencer - why don't you clarify that for us?

Did the kid jump from the balcony or did the adult? Pay attention.

Yeah. Why doesn't everybody see the logic and bravery of smashing one's face into a desk to get government subsidies? He's my new hero.

No , he is just desperate . Despite a lot of efforts life is very dark in Romania atm . Those who have a sick child have to sacrifice either health or food . Our health care system is fuked due to underfunding .

It might be effective, but it's certainly not a healthy way to pressure the government.

I've read that he broke some bones in his face and will now have to get facial surgery, in addition, they are treating this as a suicide attempt and he will have to get psychological counseling. Not sure at what level the 15 year old son functions at, but if he does understand, how difficult all of this would be. Especially with the father claiming, in a way, that he jumped 20 feet off the balcony somehow for the sake of the kid. I think they cut the benefits by 15%. Certainly it would be better to cut corners, ask for help, try to get extra income...anything but killing yourself. That would probably be one of the worst things he could do to his kid.

The salaries where reduced by 40% or more in 2010 , VAT was raised by 5% and unemployment is high . A lot of people simply don't know what the hell to do .

yeah tough situation there. I also saw a report about Moldavia which has more problems.
I guess Romania changed deeply after Ceausescu (your ex president).

If we just pack all the right-wing conservatives in a bus (as many as it takes) and tell them theres diamonds at the bottom of the Niagara falls, the next morning the world would instantly be a much better place.

You would think so but they have enough money to build an elevator. Then they'd pull out the mining companies and get them to dig it out for them, albeit destroying the scenery there instead. Not quite sure how to get rid of them but i'm hoping the truth will do it and I don't expect them to take it lying down.

You need to take a anti-hypocrisy pill or be in the bus :p Nationalism and covert ops are right wing

Ya we know about your truth . Is the truth everyone already knows whit a twist of lemon so it would protect your shivering ass . I wonder how much is your decision influenced by fear and how much is influenced by pure lack of information .

It certainly appears that he doesn't give a rats ass about his kid.

And who will pay for that surgery and the rest of the treatment? Certainly not the deadbeat dad. He's just made himself an even heavier and less deserving burden on society.

Who would you leftists steal from then?

It seems that he expects his fellow Romanians to do it for him -- the ultimate abdication of responsibility.
