Every year since 1982, a short animation has been aired on Christmas Eve in the UK. It's called The Snowman, and it has become a major part of Christmas over here, owing to its magical and touching nature. It's basically about a little boy who builds a snowman which comes alive and takes him on a late night adventure to see Santa Clause, before melting in the morning. Is it aired in your country, too?

My favourite part is the flying scene, where The Snowman and the little boy take off on their journey to the North Pole. And if you like the song, here it is as played solo on the piano.
