    Hello,

This is the 4th or 5th time it happens with my website.

It received a lot of traffic from google for 2 days (like 40k per day) and then the traffic came back to what is normal (8k).

Did it happen to any of you as well? Is there an explanation for why it doesn't sustain on the high level?

I noticed I got ranked for thousands of killing keywords and now the rank is back to what it was.

    Thanks.

SERP ranking changes all the time. That might be the reason.

    I didnt do any promotion.

It was traffic from natural search in Google from thousands of keywords.

    No other person experienced that?

    How old is your site????

It takes a long time for your SERP ranking to be stable. But if you're ranking for a lot of keywords then you're doing something right.

You might have had a high ranking for a few awesome keywords and then Google did an update and you fell out of the rankings. Google frequently updates so this happens to a lot of people.

Just keep updating your site with fresh content and over time you should get a stable flow of traffic. Who knows... Pretty soon you might be complaining that your site gets a flux up to 100k per day and your normal is 40k ;)

Oh, and keep up with your SEO because once you stop, you'll definitely fall in the google SERP's pretty hard.
