A lot of page faults

    Hey there,

First time poster, although I've been reading stuff here for a while.....

I have a Win2K3 server running RAID 10 with 4x 2.5" SAS 10k drives. I am concerned about the health of these drives.

The server I have has 4GB RAM, which is much too less, however can't be increased because necessary programs don't run on x86_64. The result is a huge pagefile (5-8GB). Looking in taskmgr, since the server was started a month ago, there have been about 1.9 billion page faults over about a month. I figure that kind of stress on the hard drives can't be good for them. Can anyone confirm/counter this thought?

I also logged into the RAID manager to check the health of the disks. I get:

    Disk 1: OK
    Disk 2: OK
    Disk 3: OK
    Disk 4: OK, PFA

I don't know what the PFA means on the last disk (guessing Predict Failure Analysis) but I don't know if that means it predicts failure, or just alerts that the service is available on the array.

    Any information is greatly appreciated!
