    I couldn't believe what i just saw.

I was checking out a camera site and at the bottom of the page I saw 1000's of keywords that went on forever.

Can this help in their SEO efforts if they have only 3 backlinks"

No, its keyword spamming, very black hat.

besides there will not be a high enough keyword density if you list thousands of different keywords.

If you look at the rest of the onpage optimisation it is very clear this very poorly optimised as a pose to using clever tactics.

One of the worst mistakes people make is optimising a site for search engines rather than their users.

You should ideally be looking to optimize for no more than 3 or 4 keywords per page, at least to start with

I think it's just poor taste, who would put 10 000 keywords in such a place?

Doesn't help, google will know you are keyword spamming. If you have no content but lots of keywords then your site is SPAM and provides no benefit for your users.

I'm surprised it has a Google double listing for the site name. Maybe google hasn't noticed it yet but when it does that website will most likely be banned.

using to many keywords will make your context poor, people will just consider it as spam. Its best to use 3-4 Kewords. :)

Keyword spamming doesn’t boost rankings anymore.
