I thought this was pretty interesting, just passing it on:

Iâ€™ve never used this particular method, but Iâ€™ve seen it used on a pretty wide scale for a number of industries. If you have a call center or enough skills to handle an onslaught of phone calls you might still be able to take advantage of this and make a bit of cash, but do keep in mind Google is getting wise to this so you most likely wonâ€™t be able to take advantage of it much longer.

Here are the local listings for â€˜dish networkâ€™ when searched with a Salt Lake City IP address. All three of the top listings have their website listed as DishNetwork.com, all with different street addresses and phone numbers. If you call any of the phone numbers that are listed you will be routed to a call center where they will attempt to sign you up for Dish satellite service.

You can see how this would be useful, a quick Local Business Center listing and then making an appearance on the first page for a fairly competitive keyword and phone calls coming in.

If you want to give this a try, obviously the hardest part is going to be verifying your local listing. Not to give everything away, but the trick with getting multiple local search listings is in the area codes of your phone numbers used.
