Hello, I have a domain registered at godaddy. I have been howting this domain for a quite some time without problems but I have changed my web hosting provider and I need to change the nameservers.

I need to point nameservers to:

    NS.DNSPROTECT.COM (some IP adress)
    NS2.DNSPROTECT.COM (some IP adress)

How can I do that in godaddy? Because when I go to domain manager and click on nameservers, the only thing I can change there is the preffix (e.g. NS, NS2) and IP adress. But I need to change the nameservers from:

    NS1.mydomain.com
    NS2.mydomain.com

    To this:

    NS.DNSPROTECT.COM
    NS2.DNSPROTECT.COM

    Thank you.

i just helped a friend point his godaddy domain to my nameservers the other day, and all i did was go into the domain manager and type it in.. i think you have to select "custom nameserver" (or whatever option is worded similar to that) - it's right there on the screen.. if that does not work, you might have to call the GoDaddy man..

one word of warning: about 12 hours after we changed to my namesevers, godaddy changed them right back to their own nameservers, and pointed it back to their parked/advertising page. my friend called the godaddy man, and was told that they changed it back to "make sure there was no fraud going on" ... good i suppose, but we had to change it back a second time..
