    Hi all

I own a online job board. Had it for 2 yrs almost. It was a hosted solution and recently wanted to change supplier and host the site myself.

Decided on a UK based turnkey solution provider. Agreed on some customisation of the product and paid him what he asked in advance.

Now my site has been offline for 2 months - lost my google PR , Lost all link partners that took me ages to build up and still do not have a site. The developer never picks up phone ore responds to email .

Called paypal and was told that they can not help as the product is not tangible.

Any ideas what can be done in this situation? It was quite a bit of money.

Well if you are in the UK you can try and sue. But if you are over seas all you can really do is complain about the service and hope they will refund you or finish the site just to stop the complaints. How ever if it is a smaller company as in one person then I doubt anything will work to get the money back or site finished.

It actually is a one man band with this supplier and we are based in UK. Litigation is some thing I would like to avoid but would be good if there was a way out company could realise the money and efforts wasted...
